Maple French Toast

Ingredients

  • 6 - 8 slices of bread
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup (125 ml)
  • 1 cup milk (250 ml)
  • 1/4 cup light cream (60 ml)
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon (1 ml)
  • Pinch of salt, dash of nutmeg

Instructions

  • Beat eggs with maple syrup.
  • Add milk, cream, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  • Dip bread, one slice at a time, into maple mixture, drain and fry in a hot buttered pan on both sides.
  • Top with pure maple syrup.
